We know for less than a week that Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy Note 8 ahead of IFA 2017 trade fair, which is set to kick off on September 1. Previous rumors coming from different sources claim the flagship smartphone will be announced on August 23, but the phone won't be available on the market until September at the earliest.
Over the weekend, Samsung's CEO DJ Koh told Taiwanese media that his company plans to reveal the Galaxy Note 8 in late August, which comes in line with previous reports.
He went on to say that Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be released on the market in two phases starting in September. The first countries to get the phablet in September are the United States, UK, and South Korea. The rest of the world will get the Galaxy Note 8 in October, DJ Koh was quoted saying.
Samsung wishes to make its Galaxy Note series flagship available on the market ahead of iPhone 8 in order to avoid the clash with Apple's iconic product. Officials are believed to have boarded the yacht on Tuesday afternoon. Armed customs officers are reported to have boarded Cristiano Ronaldo’s holiday yacht as part of an inspection, according to Daily Mail.
